We offer a 15-acre private ranch that is beautiful and peaceful, nestled in the Texas Hill Country. With two ponds, a creek, nature trails, open spaces, fire pits and a wide variety of wildflowers, wildlife, and amazing oak and elm trees, your guests will forget they are just 45 minutes from downtown! We have two climate-controlled offices with wi-fi, both with chairs and a deck to enjoy the remarkable peace and quiet. Each of these spaces is cozy and comfortable with coffee, tea and condiments, a microwave and fridge for snacks. There is plenty of room for chairs and a portable screen for presentations inside the offices. We also have open areas available to set up low ropes courses, play team building games and create your own space outside.
Just being in this environment is conducive to listening, focusing, mindfulness, getting away from it all, exploring, fun activities, games and more! You do not have to integrate the horses into your event, simply sharing this space with them brings a feeling of peace and safety, and gets your teams out of the conference room and into a space that rejuvenates and provides an escape from the daily hustle and bustle.
There is a lighted 70’x200’ sandy riding arena that can be utilized for team building exercises, four round pens, a labyrinth, hiking trails, several open grassy areas and two fire circles. Our friendly and professional staff can help you plan your event and can provide your guests comfortable chairs, ice water to refill water bottles, 6’ tables with tablecloths and of course, our peaceful private ranch; 15 acres of a beautiful well-maintained parklike setting with a herd of beautiful horses. We can also help out with coordinating catering from local restaurants.
There are several hotels in the area, convenient to local restaurants and shopping for your guests if you would like to plan for a multiple day event.

If you are a Natural Lifemanship certified therapist, or in the process of certification and are looking for the perfect private, quiet, safe and peaceful location in the North Austin area, South Wind Equestrian can’t be beat. Our property is located only 45 minutes from downtown Austin just west of Leander. We have 15 acres that are maintained to preserve the park-like setting that offers beautiful Hill Country views, the sound of silence broken only by songbirds and horses whinnying, hiking trails that meander through the trees, a creek and pond, a beautiful and powerful labyrinth, 2 climate-controlled cozy and clean offices and a herd of beautiful well-cared for horses that are allowed to be horses! We also have a lighted 200’x70’ riding arena that is regularly raked, 4 round pens, pastures and an organized tack barn to store equipment.
Our friendly staff understands the important work that is being done on site to help clients process and heal by partnering with the horses, and we place a top priority on confidentiality and offering a peaceful safe place to allow clients vulnerability to heal. We also have liability insurance and a comprehensive waiver. Our horse paddocks are cleaned daily and our fly population is quite low, which provides clients a clean and tidy area to spend time with the horses. We have several horses that are specific to the rhythmic riding program, including EMDR processing on horseback. We have equipment including bareback pads and helmets that are available as well. Our goal is to provide the perfect setting for therapy teams to provide treatment utilizing EAP with absolutely no worries at all! Kelly is available to serve as an Equine Professional on a therapy team as well, and her years of experience can benefit any therapist wanting to integrate equine assisted psychotherapy into their practice. We offer daily, hourly and monthly payment plans.
