Hannah and Dexter

What if you allowed yourself to dream? What if you believed that those dreams were not out of reach and could be pursued? What if it were true that you could create change in your life? What if you really do have power over choosing your reality?

I believe that you have choice in all things. I also believe that therapy is meant to accompany you as you walk through past hurt and hardship, process how these experiences impacted you, recognize how they are continuing to effect your everyday life and illuminate that you are at the exact point of making a very important choice. A fork in the road if you will. To reach that fork, you must first lean into the discomfort, sit with the pain and accept your past. Then you can truly take control over your life and choose your future. Will you continue to allow those past pains to dictate your life? Will you work at relearning the patterns and habits that were created so you can replace them with ones that will serve you rather than harm you? The choice is yours and if you are ready to step into this process I would love to walk alongside you on your journey to healing and self discovery. I want you know that I believe you are wildly more capable than you know and I want to help you discover all that is waiting for you.

A little about me… My name is Hannah Leighan Tollefson but I like to go by Hannah Leigh. My education includes a Bachelors in Psychology from Colorado State University, a Masters in Mental Health Counseling and a Masters in Business Administration both from Tarleton State University. I am trained in trauma informed equine assisted psychotherapy and this experiential therapy is where I do most of my therapeutic work. I also love the virtual setting and have more of a life coach style over this platform.

Now to give you a glimpse into who I am. I am tall, 6 whole feet tall to be exact. It’s the first thing most people notice about me so I figured I would let you in on that not so well kept secret since we are meeting one another virtually. I am tall and I love to play volleyball. Cliche I know, but it’s true. I also love activities that include the outdoors and some form of water. Beach, lake, river, hot springs, trickling creek, pool. I am here for it. I like to read and you can usually find me in the middle of two or three books at a time ranging from romance to personal growth and development books… it’s called balance y’all. Oh, and on that note I grew up in Colorado but now live right outside of Austin, Texas. Most of my family is from Texas so I come by the y’all naturally. I am married to a wonderful man named Austin.. I suppose you could say I am drawn to all the Austins!

I believe it is VERY important that you find a therapist or coach that you can vibe with and that is why I show up so authentically myself. If you feel inclined to see if this would be a good fit, don’t be shy! Schedule your consultation so we can chat more. It’s free, so you really have nothing to lose! I look forward to getting to know you more!
